Do you love this time of year as much as I do? Halloween aside, there is something so magical and mysterious in the air throughout the fall. Though I always get a little bit sad once Halloween passes, for it can sometimes be a challenge to keep that magical vibe flowing into November.
But this year, I’m determined to change that. I’ve been more dedicate than ever to my spiritual and creative processes these year, diving deep into new divinatory paths and embarking on new creative journeys.
I’ve been talking a lot here lately about the influence of Scorpio, and I feel that this week is high time to connect with that energy if you haven’t already. Scorpio relates to secrets, introspection, and hidden knowledge. It’s intuitive and unafraid to probe into life’s darker sides.
We had a New Moon in Scorpio yesterday, so we’re starting the week off with some great new energy that can help us truly align to these aspects. The Moon card also showed up for this week’s forecast, a perfect alignment in messaging to show that the time is right to connect with your own inner rhythms.
What is your emotional landscape like these days? What are the things that you need, but don’t often get from yourself, or from others?
What are the things you know, but tend to ignore?
How might you make different decisions if you could feel more confident in your intuition, more confident in trusting yourself?
Play close attention to any intentions you wish to set at this time, too. Your thoughts and wishes will grow with the waxing Moon.
If you are hoping to connect with your intuitive powers – like learning tarot – starting a new meditation regime, or begin a new project of any kind, this is the week to begin planting the seeds to make it happen.
Because Scorpio is so introspective, you might feel a stronger urge to take up a solitary activity right now. Even cracking open a new book would align with this new lunar cycle – though Scorpio would probably be most approving if it was a horror novel, a book of incantations, or a study on mediumship.
That being said, when I look at the Moon card here, I see a gathering, making me think that union with a close community can bring out something deep for you this week.
Lately, every time I’ve seen my friends, I find myself saying, “Friendship is good for the soul.” I don’t know where I heard that or why it’s become a mantra for me recently, but there it is, and it’s so true. They say that the veils between worlds are thinnest today and tomorrow – for All Soul’s Day – and so you might find that you want to be with your closest friends this week, crossing special thresholds together.
Remember that we all connect to the energy of the Moon differently. Not every action we take as we live by the Moon has to be life-changing.
That’s a message that the Moon card itself would emphasize – that it’s important now to honour your own markers for action, movement, and connection.
If you do want to go into deeper realms – either with your friends or on your own – you might want to set up a devotional space to honour the energies of your ancestry, a loved one who has passed, or someone you never knew but greatly admired, like an artist.
If you feel so inspired, set up a small space on a table or dresser in your home where you can honour someone who has passed. If you have a photograph of them, place it there, or include some objects that you feel might represent them. For example, if you want to connect to your ancestry in general, then perhaps there is something you can associate with your lineage.
Light a few candles, burn some incense if you like, and leave a small offering, like some wine or salt, and say a small prayer. Ask for guidance around a question or concern, or simply let them know that you welcome and honour their presence.
Watch for signs throughout the week that might connect you to whomever you are honouring. Signs can come in many forms, such as dreams, ideas, and conversations we overhear.
If it helps, here is a mantra that you can work with throughout the week:
My intuition is not something I need to strive for; it’s already a part of me. My ancestors are not out of my grasp; they are always with me. Magic is all around me, and within me.
Whatever you’re getting up to this week, I wish you a very happy Halloween, Samhain, All Soul’s Day, and all days in between now and our next connection.
Until next time,
