Eclipse season is here. Stay open to change.

Queen of Wands StarchildWhat a way to start off the week: Today brings the Full Moon in Aquarius, along with a lunar eclipse.

Overall, Leo season – which began on July 22 – is wielding tremendous astrological power. We’ll see two new moons in Leo during this time. The first already arrived on July 23, and the second will occur on August 21. Typically, we only see one New Moon per sign each month – to have two like this is a special thing.

Remember that under the influence of Leo, we are pushed to find ways to shine, to be seen, to be honoured, to be recognized. The Queen of Wands came up for this week’s message, a card that I associate with the sign of Leo.

The Queen of Wands is all about embracing your strengths and powers and learning how to showcase them. Bring forward all that is good in you. Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to improve perceived flaws or weaknesses that we lose sight of the gifts and talents that already exist within ourselves.

Leo also demands space to create and express itself. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve heard so many people talk about making more room in their lives for freedom, fun, and lightness. For better ways of working, better ways of feeling present and aligned.

In a world of increasing pressure and pace, many of us are realizing that we need more room to breathe. And to simply be.

And with today’s Aquarius Full Moon, the call to break free might become impossible to resist.

Aquarius and Leo complement each other’s creative energies, but where Leo wants recognition, Aquarius wants to rebel. It reminds us not to get caught up in what everyone else thinks.

Occurring under a Leo Sun and between two Leo new moons, this Aquarius Full Moon feels like a permission slip to shrug off outside expectations and make a move that your future self depends on.

Forget what others want for you, or ask of you. What do you expect of yourself?

Try to take a moment today, or sometime this week, to look at yourself in the mirror – really look at yourself. Make eye contact and hold it for a good ten seconds. Who do you want to see staring back? What stories do you see on your face, around your mouth, behind your eyes?

How far have you already come? Where do you need to go next?

Aquarius reminds us that the future is waiting. Today’s Full Moon might be bringing some important insights into focus, especially around what you need to bring forward over the next six months, and what you need to say no to in order to move in the direction you desire.

And with a lunar eclipse in the mix, you’ll want to pay attention to what’s changing for you. Eclipses are catalysts for change, and lunar eclipses help us focus on inner work.
I’m not sure about you, but I’ve definitely been feeling something in the air in the days leading up to this eclipse. I’ve been feeling like I’m on the cusp of some major decisions, but am still waiting for clarity on exactly what I need to do next.

All you can do during eclipse season is expect the unexpected, and listen to what your heart is asking of you at this time.

Remember, you will always be your strongest guide and ally.

If it helps, here’s a mantra for the week ahead:

I am listening.

And if you’d like to connect with this Aquarius Full Moon and lunar eclipse, here’s a tarot spread for you to work with:

1. What is coming full circle for me during this Full Moon?
2. What path is it pointing me towards for the next six months?
3. What is this lunar eclipse shifting for me?
4. What do I need to listen to within myself at this time?

And if you’d like to connect with me for a tarot or astrology reading, you can book time with me at lizworth.com/readings. I offer private sessions over Skype, or in-person if you are in Toronto.

Until next time,
