Mars, the warrior planet, entered Scorpio over the weekend.
Last month, we talked about Venus in Scorpio, and the challenge that she can sometimes have in the sign of death and rebirth.
Venus has since moved into idealistic, philosophical Sagittarius. There, Venus can truly embody the phoenix that rises from the ashes when talk about Scorpio energy. Venus’ creativity can thrive in Sag’s imaginative, expansive realm.
Mars, however, is one of Scorpio’s rulers, so it’s right at home in the weeks to come. When planets transit through signs that they rule, or at least work well in, their power is unimpeded. They can function as they need to because there is nothing to stop them from doing their jobs.
Mars needs to drive forward. It’s aggressive in going after what it wants, and what it believes is important. It has a mission. It likes to feel invincible. Remember that Mars also rules Aries, the sign of spring, the first sign of the zodiac.
We see this competitive energy in the power that Scorpio commands, and expects. Scorpio’s power of perception is sharp because it doesn’t want to waste time figuring anyone out. It wants answers, and it wants them now.
Scorpio also likes control. This is a sign of power. It’s why it demands transformation time and again, consistently asking us to break down walls that are in our way.
With the Sun making its rounds through Sagittarius, we are in a time when it might be beneficial to think about what you feel you are wasting time on.
The season will soon change, and not long after, the calendar year will follow.
Sagittarius season is also pressing us to think of new freedoms, new horizons we could explore. You might find yourself in the mood to re-evaluate 2017 as it draws to a close:
What do you no longer want to experience?
What no longer deserves your time or attention?
What would it feel like to cast your gaze in a new direction?
Of course, it’s not always easy to see where what we have control over sometimes, or what we can change. The Ace of Crystals reminds us that not everything has to be a grand gesture, and that opportunity might not always look so big, either.
If you are feeling an inkling towards a new possibility, there’s no way to know where it will take you unless you invest the energy into it. Whether that means how you’re living your life, spending your days, what you’re working towards, or what you are asking for within your relationships.
Trust that those inklings are trying to get your attention.
If it helps, here’s a mantra for you to work with at this time:
I decide how to spend my time.
Until next time,
