Welcoming Aries season, the Spring Equinox and the Libra Full Moon

Knight of Pentacles Cosmic TarotOverall, the astrology of 2019 has been quite interesting. It’s a different feel from last year, but that’s the point, isn’t it?

To pay attention to the subtleties and nuances, and how we can find these energetic reflections in the ebbs and flows of our individual lives.

Just like last Monday, the waxing Moon is creating a stir within.

With aspects from Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, Mars, Pluto, Jupiter, the Sun, and Uranus throughout the day, the Moon’s energies will be amplified by many moods, emotions, and ideas.

What does this mean for you? If you set any intentions at the start of this lunar cycle, you may be feeling a call to act upon them now, but there’s a restlessness in the air, too.

The first days of the week can be good for journaling, visioning, and brainstorming. Plotting out your story, your life.

But for some, there may be too much of an electric current in the air to decide on what to do first. If you’re feeling mixed up rather than focused, keep waiting.

Aries season is just around the corner.

The Sun enters Aries on Wednesday, March 20 at 5:58pm EST, and so begins the season of spring here in the northern hemisphere.

Pisces is the twelfth sign of the zodiac, the last stop on the wheel before we renew ourselves with spring. Pisces helps us to find healing, transcendence, and inspiration so that we can start anew again with Aries – and move into action.

Over these next few days, check in with yourself and ask:

What has come to a conclusion for you since the end of winter in 2018?
What cycle, pattern, or belief are you releasing now?
What are you ready to do next?
What do you believe this coming season holds for you?
What do you want it to hold for you?

If you set an intentions at Imbolc around February 1st or 2nd, tend to the seeds of those intentions this week. Get ready for them to be sown throughout the spring.

Even though there can still be snow on the ground and cool, gray days depending on where you are in the world, the energy that this time of year represents is the story of the seed that must push against hard, frozen ground.

Aries is season is about determination. It is also about waking up after a long winter and allowing something new to take hold in your life.

You might feel like you are working on frozen ground with something now, but take heart: Aries’ fire will warm things up. Keep tending to your seeds and your soil, like the Knight of Pentacles here would.

This card showed up earlier this month, too. Here, it reminds us of the work we want to do, and need to, in order to make our intentions real.

So if you are checking in with yourself this week, that may be another question to explore:

What do I have to do this spring to make my intentions come to life?

This year, the Full Moon in Libra also falls on the Spring Equinox. This is the first of two Libra full moons we’ll experience in 2019; the second arrives on April 19.

Aries is the pioneer, the individual of the zodiac. It is the “me, myself, and I” of astrology, whereas Libra is the Other that asks, “What about us?”

When we move through seasonal shifts, we sometimes notice that our relationships and identities go through changes, too.

These changes can become particularly clear when we start making new choices for ourselves. Are the influences around a help, or a hindrance?

Your intentions are precious seeds that can be sown throughout the spring.

Keep them close to your heart, and don’t be discouraged by those who aren’t able to tend to their own gardens.

“I am open to changing seasons around me, and within me.”

And if you want to connect with this week’s Full Moon in Libra, here is a tarot spread to try:

1. What can I grow for myself this spring?
2. What kind of care will this require?
3. What is changing in the season of my life?
4. What can I do to embrace this change?

Until next time,
