Welcoming the New Moon in Aries: Your tarot forecast for the week of April 4, 2016

Four of Swords StarchildFor those of you who have been following my weekly forecasts for a while now, you might remember that the Four of Swords was a recurring card throughout the winter.

Well, believe it or not, it’s here again, and at an interesting time given that the New Moon in Aries – which always a potent Moon given Aries’ feisty, fiery nature – is coming up this Thursday, April 7.

The Four of Swords couldn’t be more opposite that Aries energy. This is a card of slowing down and going inward. It’s a card that shows up when it’s time to allow yourself to rest and truly take a deep, long break or sabbatical from something.

It encourages you to recharge and replenish your energy so that when the time is right, you’ll be able to step back into yourself feeling completely renewed.

These quiet times are also important for the Four of Swords because they allow for deep reflection, which brings on important revelations that we might otherwise miss if our minds and lives are too busy.

So why would this show up for your forecast just ahead of such an energetic New Moon?

Well, this Aries Moon is going to be catching up with Uranus, the planet of rebellion and revolution – a great place for Aries to be because of its independent spirit and go-getter attitude.

Aries is the trailblazer of the zodiac, and with Uranus’ power thrown in, this New Moon can support us all in deciding where we are ready to rebel or revolutionize ourselves.

This New Moon says, “Do not be afraid. Do not proceed with caution – instead, proceed on your own terms.”

Uranus can really shake things up, and Aries always welcomes a challenge. I see this New Moon as an ideal time to ask yourself what you feel ready to revolutionize in your own life.

Yes, it’s a great time to get creative, because Uranus and Aries can be very innovative and edgy, but it’s also a great time to push other types of boundaries, too.

Boxing classes, salsa lessons, or anything that gets you out of your comfort zone and brings forward a new side or your best competitive spirit are also very Aries-undertakings.

So I would take the advice from the Four of Swords and rest up ahead of Thursday. Take some time on your own to meditate on what you’re ready to kick off with this Aries New Moon and save up the energy it will require to make it happen.

Here’s a mantra you can work with throughout the week:

I open myself up to new ways of being and prepare to trust that my visions will guide me.

And if you have a tarot deck of your own and want to see what the cards have in store for you for this new lunar cycle, here’s an easy spread you might want to try out:

1. What part of myself is ready for a revolution?
2. What is it time for me to start?
3. How can I push my boundaries through this process?
4. How can I stay committed and energized as I move forward?

And remember, if you’re ever in need of some added insights from the cards, I’m always happy to book a one-on-one session.

For those of you in Toronto, you are welcome to my new location at Broadview and Danforth (the view is beautiful!) and as always, I’m available for readings via Skype no matter where you’re at.

Have a great day, and happy New Moon!

Until next time,

Liz xo
