Happy Summer Solstice!
Today we mark the beginning of summer, and the season starts off with a bang with a Full Moon in Sagittarius. Last month also brought a fiery Full Moon in the same sign, which rules expansion, opportunity, optimism, and adventure.
This Moon will correspond back May, so watch out for recurring themes in your life. Sagittarius is on a perpetual quest for personal freedom and liberation through knowledge and learning.
What new horizons have you been craving throughout the spring? Where have your old boundaries felt too safe, too small, and too tight for who you are becoming?
Where were you once the student, and now realize you’ve crossed the threshold into becoming a teacher?
Or, where are you realizing you might not be as ready for something as you thought, and need to spend more time deepening your knowledge base before you strike out on your own?
These are the types of questions that these two Full Moons are bringing up for all of us. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, which the planet of luck. It can provide a strong sense of optimism and the courage to push forward into uncharted territory, like a personal gateway into new realms that might have once caused us to shrink back out of fear.
The Summer Solstice on its own is a powerful date to declare who you are, and who are ready to be. Supported by today’s Full Moon, the Solstice can mark an important turning for you if you feel you need to embrace a new part of yourself and release old, personal power struggles and rules that you created for yourself that now feel like they’ve boxed you in.
Epiphanies, restlessness, and bigger, bolder decisions can come clear today. I should know better than to be surprised by tarot, but I can’t help but marvel at the perfect arrival of this week’s card: The Knight of Wands, who is Sagittarius in my eyes.
The Knight of Wands doesn’t hesitate, and shows up to say that you shouldn’t, either. Yes, there is an impulsive nature to this card, and that is the caveat with today’s energy: The Sun is at its fullest, and so is the Moon. Emotionally, things may feel like they are tipping over, either towards total giddiness or a breaking point of desperation.
And so remember not to get carried away – that’s the downside with the optimism that Jupiter can bring. Sometimes we can forget to think things through. The Knight of Wands acts as a reminder that even though it’s time to rush ahead, it doesn’t mean that all consequences be damned.
Either way, though, a new story can unfold for you starting today. How do you want your new chapter to begin?
If it helps, here’s a mantra for you to work with throughout the week to connect with the energy of the Summer Solstice:
I move forward fearlessly, knowing that it’s time to break away from old restrictions that can no longer contain me.
And before I sign off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has taken part in my Summer Solstice sale. It’s been an incredible month so far as I’ve so enjoyed connecting with all of you!
If you’ve been thinking about taking advantage of the 20% off sale, or grabbing a $25 Summer Solstice reading, there is still time – I’m actually going to be extending the sale for another week because. Yay! Save on tarot readings, coaching sessions, and more!
And if you’re feeling called by today’s Sagittarian energy and want to expand your horizons by learning tarot, there are still a few spots left in this weekend’s tarot workshop for beginners. Hope to see you there.
Until next time,
