Get ready for a shift in energy. Today, the Sun moves out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius.
What does this mean? We’re entering back into the fire element. After being in Scorpio’s watery depths for the past month, Sagittarius’s upbeat, optimistic energy is going to bring in a fresh dynamism and vitality.
Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius is optimistic, confident, curious, and restless. An eternal seeker, Sagittarius does not like to be held back by anything that feels like a constraint to its freedom.
Scorpio’s energy often prompts us to do some deep-dives into the past, into our secrets and truths, and into our darker aspects. But we can only swim through the underworld for so long; the movement of the Sun through the signs will always help us maintain the right balance of energy, as long as we stay open to working with it.
And so here comes Sagittarius to get us focused back on higher ground again. It’s time to come up for air and decide what you’d like to experience. It’s the perfect to begin to explore that question as we inch through the last several weeks of 2016. Even if you’re not one for New Year’s resolutions, it doesn’t hurt to at least ask yourself what you might want to see, feel, and sense in 2017.
What faraway soil might your feet want to touch? What new topic might you to use to expand your mind? What kind of opportunities would you like to see for yourself?
Overall, I find Sagittarius season to be quite creative, convivial, social, and energizing. You might already be feeling the shift in energy as you’re reading this.
I also find that it can be a lot easier to stay focused and get things accomplished when the Sun is in fire. So if you felt like it was a bit of struggle to stay motivated recently, try to tap into this new energetic shift.
The Justice card showed up this week to reinforce the balancing between light and dark. Several weeks ago, I wrote about the New Moon in Scorpio and a balance of light and shade.
When this week’s card appeared, all I could focus on was that big sun in the middle, beaming out its solid rays. Beyond is a powerful new horizon, waiting to be explored. This is the perfect image to capture the shift we’re entering into now.
What might that sun be shining on for you? What do you hope is waiting for you on that new horizon? I encourage you to meditate on these questions throughout the week and see what transpires.
If it helps, here’s a mantra for you to work with as well:
My evolution begins with a willingness to expand.
Have a great week, and thank you for being here.
Until next time,
