Are you meant to read tarot?

People often worry that tarot won't "work" for them. Do you have to be destined to read it? Here's what I think.

I've been sharing a lot of foundational tarot content this year, and one thing I wanted address is whether tarot just doesn’t work for everyone.

“I’ve already bought so many books, Googled every tarot card, watched all of the YouTube videos…what if tarot just isn’t for me?”

I get it: I used to worry about the same thing.

When I was first learning tarot, I would have moments where I felt like things suddenly clicked. One day I would feel totally connected to my cards, and the next, well, I would feel like I was back at square one again.

You know I always give it to you straight: Learning tarot does take time. There are no shortcuts on this path, but…if I also know from experience that finding a clear roadmap that lays out tarot step by step, technique by technique helps a lot.

I wasted so much time trying to cobble together my own tarot knowledge out of bits and bobs from books, memorization, and random internet searches.

When I finally got out of my own way and started to focus on learning reliable techniques and going deep with my learning, rather than wide and scattered, things really changed.

If you are called to learn tarot, but you’re not getting anywhere with it as quickly as you’d like, you are not alone.

When you are given a roadmap to follow, tarot starts to make so much sense.

When you commit to putting in the time to follow that roadmap, things start to happen:

The imagery in the cards becomes clearer.

Your intuition starts to kick in.

And your readings gain momentum.

Tarot has a system – and it goes beyond memorizing keywords and generic card meanings.

The tarot methods that I teach have helped people go on to become professional readers. It has helped people integrate tarot into their daily lives. It has made tarot less mysterious and more relatable.
